Our Services

At JDC Empowerment Home, we serve residents throughout Mississippi with personalized support to help them achieve independence and stability.

Transitional Housing

Temporary, supportive accommodation designed to bridge the gap between homelessness or an unstable living situation and permanent, independent housing. It typically offers a structured environment with time limits and access to services to help residents stabilize their lives.

Shared Living Support

A model where individuals (often those with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other support needs) live together in a home setting. Support staff provides assistance with daily activities and personal goals in a communal, family-like environment to promote socialization and independence

Targeted training and instruction focused on practical, everyday abilities necessary for independent living and personal success. This includes skills like budgeting, cooking, job readiness, hygiene, accessing public transit, and managing appointments.

Case Management

A collaborative process where a professional assesses the individual's needs, plans and coordinates a range of services (medical, social, legal, vocational), links the individual to community resources, and advocates for them, ensuring comprehensive care and goal achievement

Empowerment Workshops

Group sessions or training events focused on building self-confidence, self-advocacy skills, and personal agency. These workshops provide participants with knowledge and tools to take control of their decisions, understand their rights, and actively pursue their personal and professional goals.
